Our transport program team has worked to save the lives of over 15,000 pets, many of whom could not find local homes and were saved by relocating them to "no-kill" shelters in other areas where adoptive homes are more plentiful.
We help rescuers and pet owners find placement for unwanted pets, and work to help lost pets reunite with their families.
We work with local law enforcement to remove large animals from situations of abuse and neglect.
Your support and contributions are tax deductible and will enable us to improve the lives of many animals that desperately need our help.

$150 adoption fee covers spay/neuter surgery, dog being up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative, and heartworm testing if over the age of 5 months. Many dog adoption fees are deeply discounted - please ask us about discounts for long stay and special needs dogs, and discounted prices for senior citizens and veterans who wish to adopt. Watch for dogs on the "10 Most Wanted Homes" - we believe these dogs need and deserve a great home and will work to transport them to qualified individual adopters living outside our southern region.
$100 adoption fee covers spay/neuter surgery, cat being up to date on vaccines and tested for FIV/FeLV. Adoption fees may be waived for special needs cats. Only friendly, social cats are listed as adoptable. We often have other cats that would be well suited as mousers or working cats - please inquire if interested in learning more about them.
We partner with other rescues and shelters to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable dogs, puppies, cats and kittens that cannot find local adoptive homes. On average, each year our organization helps around 1,500 pets. Through our work, additional space is opened up in local Miss-Lou area shelters and rescues so that even more local pets can be helped. Transported pets receive spay/neuter surgery and a wonderful opportunity to find a loving home. Our organization follows national guidelines and best practices for humane care of sheltered pets and transport animals.
Do you enjoy shopping? Wonderful! At any given time, our organization is caring for 200 or more animals that are awaiting transport opportunities. Donating supplies is easy and your donations are greatly appreciated!
Each year we work to save around 1,500 animals with a small but very dedicated group of modestly paid animal care technicians. Our administrative staff and directors are all unpaid volunteers. There are no high salaries or administrative fees in our organization and all donations go directly to care for animals.
